Sunkoshi River
The Sunkoshi River Bridge, a cable-stayed structure with a length between 180-200 meters, was designed to improve connectivity between the Ramechhap and Dolakha districts in Nepal
Project Overview
With a main span of 140 meters, the bridge provides critical infrastructure to the region. The design process, which included a topographic survey and hydrological study, was completed in just three months, ensuring both efficiency and precision in meeting the region’s transportation needs.
Key Challenges
The project required a fast-track design process, including topographic surveys and hydrological studies to address the dynamic nature of the river and the seismic activity in the area. Special attention was needed to design for structural resilience against floods and earthquakes.
Scope of Services Provided
EW Solutions’ partner was responsible for the complete design of the bridge, including topographic and hydrological analysis. The design ensured optimal performance and safety in a seismically active region within a 3-month accelerated timeline.
